Precise Software Solutions Ltd. last week announced a performance management solution for IBMs DB2 UDB.

Using the Westwood, Mass., companys Precise/Indepth software, DB2 Universal Database shops can increase application speed and productivity by helping to identify, analyze, and tune issues with database performance bottlenecks.

Other features of Precise/Indepth include graphical performance reports for sessions, table spaces and buffer pools; application trend analyses and capacity planning forecasts; and statement development optimization.

The software starts at $10,000 and is available immediately for Unix-based DB2 implementations, including AIX, HP-UX and Solaris.
