Hewlett-Packard has rolled out an entry-level workstation that is based on Intels new 3GHz Pentium 4 microprocessor and 875P chip set and includes such functionality as performance acceleration and hyperthreading technologies.
Armed with the new Intel technologies, the single-processor HP Workstation xw4100 will offer up to 5 percent performance increases, HP officials said.
Although Intel has delayed the chip, HP said it expects to ship its xw4100 workstation next month.
