Lenovo hasn't offered exact specifications for the X1 Carbon, which it's safe to say is thin. Lenovo says it maximized the X1's 14-inch HD+ display without adding weight.

Lenovo rather prides itself on its distinctive, flexible hinge. The X1 Carbon, like other models in the new ThinkPad lineup, is limber, to say the least.

Other features include built-in 3G, a 720p high-definition camera with Face Tracking software, vPro technology, a Precision backlit keyboard, a weight of 3 pounds and of course third-generation Intel Core processor options.

The ThinkPad X1's slight figure is a tough act to follow. The X230, which Lenovo calls a "road warrior's dream," does so by boasting 24 hours of battery life—a thing it accomplishes with the nine-cell battery option and an optional bottom battery slice.

The X230 is also the first ThinkPad to feature 4G mobile broadband. It weighs less than 3 pounds, features a super-bright 12.5-inch 300-nit wide-viewing display and has a Precision backlit keyboard and an ergonomic design said to be comfortable to use, despite its size. Pricing will start at $1,479.

Note the change of hinge on the ThinkPad X230t. Ultraportable: It can swing around, turning itself into a 12-inch tablet with an (optional) touch-screen that can be paired with a stylus.

Also new to the X Series, ThinkPads are Mini-Display ports, two USB 3.0 ports, Face Tracking software for video conferencing, ThinkPad Enhanced Experience 3.0 software, cooler and quieter thermal designs with dual vents, and Precision backlit keyboard options. The X230t will start at $1,479.

ThinkPad T530

Lenovo's T Series notebooks are capable of offering more than 32 hours of battery life and include USB 3.0 ports, Lenovo RapidCharge, 4G mobile broadband and 720p HD cameras with Face Tracking. Nvidia discreet graphics are also a possibility.

The T530, with its 15-inch full HD display, is the largest of the T Series models.

The smaller T430 is the best-selling of the T Series ThinkPads, according to Lenovo.

The T430s is the lightest of the 14-inch ThinkPads with docking and vPro options. Pricing for the T430s will begin at $1,399, while the T430 will begin at $879.

ThinkPad W530

Lenovo likes to think of the W530 as an ISV-certified workstation masquerading as an affordable PC. It includes Nvidia Quadro mobile graphics processors with second-generation Optimus power-management technology and comes with CAD/CAM and 3D modeling software installed. Pricing will start at $1,529.
