Cisco Asks: Is That Call in English, French or German?
Cisco Systems announced Nov. 1 that its latest customer relationship management application is now available in 20 different languages, including both U.K. and U.S. English, French, Chinese and Japanese.
The Cisco Unified CRM Connector 3.0, originally released April 25, has been marketed as a solution that allows SMBs (small and midsize businesses) better access to customer information through both inbound and outbound calls.
The latest version of Connector integrates Ciscos Unified Communications VOIP (voice over IP) with Microsofts Dynamic 3.0 software. This integration allows a Cisco IP Phone link into Microsofts Outlook.
When a business receives a call from a customer, an employee will see a pop-up window of that customers contact information and phone call activity. A business will also be able see information about purchases, sales information and billing information.
Any new information collected during the call will then be added into the business system.
The Connector 3.0 comes in the following languages: Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), Spanish, Swedish, U.K. English, U.S. English, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Chinese (simplified) and Japanese.
In addition to SMBs, Cisco is also offering a new channel program to help partners sell these solutions to partners.
In a statement, Cisco said this Fast Start program will be available in 10 of "the most common languages" for its partners.
The program includes demonstrations for users, training and sales support, the company said.
