Tabs on Top

Tabs are now on top by default. For now, the change is visible on Windows builds only, with new themes for OSX and Linux to come soon.

The Firefox Button

On Windows Vista and Windows 7, the menu bar has been replaced with a Firefox button that reminds us of the button to reach Office 2010's "backstage area."

You can search for and switch to already open tabs in the Smart Location Bar.

Firefox 4 sports a new Add-ons Manager and extension management API.

Reload and Close

The stop and reload buttons in Firefox 4 have been merged into a single button on Windows, Mac and Linux.

Bookmarks Button

The Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar has been replaced with a Bookmarks Button by default.

Crash Protection

Firefox 4 protects browser sessions from certain crashes by segregating browser plug-ins into separate processes.

WebM

Firefox 4 also includes native support for the HD HTML5 WebM video format.
