The device has a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display crafted for multimedia consumption, from video to books and games.

2) Nice Rear Panel

iFixit appreciates the clean presentation of the 5 megapixel camera in the Galaxy Nexus' rear enclosure. "'Clean' is the word that comes to mind as we look at the rear of the Galaxy Nexus. You won't find any '1080p HD' markings or model numbers here." Indeed, absence of extra marketing fluff is another factor that eWEEK appreciates about the phone.

Next, iFixit used its fingers to pop off the enclosure, revealing the 1850 mAh battery within.

The motherboard required "moderate force" to dislodge from the Nexus.

7) Cameras

The rear-facing camera is geared for low light conditions and captures full HD 1080p video. The front-facing camera enables video chat and will take pictures at 1.3 megapixel or videos at 720p, iFixit noted.

8) Chipsets

The Galaxy Nexus has a lot of chips, iFixit found. Note the vibrator motor board on the left and the motherboard on the right. The motherboard includes the volume buttons, SIM slot and five chips.

9) Even More Chips

There were more chips when iFixit flipped over the motherboard. These are the big ones, including Samsung's multimode power amplifier, multichip memory package and the NXP NFC chip.

10) Galaxy Nexus vs. iPhone 4S

Ultimately, the Galaxy Nexus received an iFixit repairability score of 6 out of 10. iFixit also provided a treat in showing the Nexus stacked up against the iPhone 4S. The Nexus dwarfs the iPhone 4S with its 4.65-inch display, but it's actually 5 grams lighter than the hallowed iPhone 4S. Go figure.
