According to the Center for Women’s Business Research, women are starting businesses at twice the rate of men, and large tech companies are starting to take notice.
Teaming up with Donald Trump acolyte and TV personality Carolyn Kepcher, Yahoo has announced a new grant program designed to promote women’s entrepreneurship.
The program, Seeds for Success: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs, will award three female entrepreneurs with business grants valued at more than $25,000 each, which include cash, as well as mentorship and technical services.
The recipient whose business achieves the most growth from the initial grant and mentorship package will win an additional bonus grant of $10,000 in October.
