SAS Institute Inc. has added new supplier ranking capabilities and enhanced spend analysis and scorecard capabilities in a new version of its Supplier Relationship Management application.

SRM is used to provide business intelligence on a companys suppliers and procurement activities so that the company can better manage its supplier relationships.

Version 2.2, released today, features SRM Ranking, which tracks supplier performance, quality and spending patterns to help organizations evaluate which supplier relationships are the most valuable and allocate resources accordingly.

The SRM Scorecard is another new feature in this version. It provides a dashboard interface to key performance indicators, allowing managers to judge how well the sourcing process is working by department, division or the entire organization.

Lastly, the spend analysis component of SAS Solution for SRM, Procurement Vision, has been enhanced to offer increased security and more in depth, detailed analysis, SAS officials said.
