At the risk of putting our tongue in cheek with sufficient force to dimple a chad, we hereby apologize for plunging the nation into turmoil. In a pre-election editorial, we weighed the election issues for IT but declined to endorse a candidate.
With 18,661 Florida addresses receiving our print edition, we have to wonder if a decisive statement of eWeek support might have swung the election. If we had swayed the vote of only one reader in 10 … but whats done is done, alas.
But seriously, folks: Rarely has there been a more dramatic demonstration of the importance of every vote. We hope that every eWeek reader followed the recommendation that we did make, to vote for the candidate of his or her choice. And we trust that every IT administrator will take away the overwhelming lesson from this election—that all IT begins with reliable data.
