SimpleSignal Inks New Edge AX Agreement
New Edge Networks, the managed services business communications unit of
EarthLink, announced that SimpleSignal, a hosted PBX and unified communications
(UC) service provider for SMBs, has established a direct connection to the New
Edge AX ecosystem of business applications. SimpleSignal's hosted VOIP platform
is now directly linked to the New Edge nationwide MPLS network. By offering its
services through New Edge AX, SimpleSignal is extending to its customers the
ability to run business-critical applications over a private and secure network
environment.
"SimpleSignal's mission of focusing on tools and applications that make
technology more accessible and affordable for businesses is gaining traction in
the market," said New Edge President Cardi Prinzi. "Like New Edge,
SimpleSignal concentrates on providing value-added services to the SMB market.
Our New Edge AX ecosystem enables application providers like SimpleSignal to
more efficiently reach customers with the underlying reliability of a
performance-driven cloud-computing environment."
The New Edge network supports end-to-end traffic prioritization and application
performance, which the company said will further enhance SimpleSignal's
solutions, which integrates advanced VOIP calling features with popular
business applications, including CRM and
Outlook.
"SimpleSignal's connection to New Edge's MPLS network allows us to
deliver private network capabilities coupled with our hosted voice service
nationwide," said Michael Sterl, vice president of North American sales
for SimpleSignal. "With New Edge, our ability to deliver voice is enhanced
with quality of service over a nationwide network. New Edge's footprint
also expands our ability to provide private networks leveraging DSL
into difficult-to-reach geographic areas."
Hilary Fox of Advoda, a master agent that represents SimpleSignal, said the
ability to leverage SimpleSignal's carrier-grade voice solutions via the New
Edge AX ecosystem with the underlying MPLS network allows Advoda to design the
optimum converged solution for multilocation clients.
"We can now offer MPLS with network firewall and diverse access options
like DSL for clients with smaller locations,"
Fox said. "SimpleSignal's hosted PBX and/or SIP trunks now with QoS
throughout the network, plus all of its killer voice apps and mobility
features, add up to a solution you just can't get from a traditional phone
service."
SimpleSignal also recently released a hosted call recording solution, which
offers integration with the company's Hosted PBX solution and provides proof of
compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The solution is designed to
help avoid costly disputes by archiving recorded calls for future proof and
boasts customized call recording. Users can evaluate successes and failures for
continuous improvement and training opportunities, access and playback recorded
calls via a user-friendly secure Web interface, and supervise or monitor calls
that are in progress from anywhere, using the same Web interface.
