Nokia Introduces Playfully Designed 7205 Intrigue Phone

Nokia hopes to pique interest with its new Nokia 7205 Intrigue - a sleek, black clamshell-style cell phone with a hidden-until-lit external display. With the phone closed, the sly exterior offers customers access to their messages, music and the alarm clock.

Open the clamshell and you find a gradient color keypad, which comes in a choice of silver-fade or pink-fade finishes.

The 7205 features Bluetooth, a 2MB camera with flash and a dedicated button for fast access, support for 8GB microSD cards and access to the V CAST Music with Rhapsody service - for an additional $14.99 a month.

Visual Voice Mail from Verizon Wireless is also an option, for an extra $2.99 a month. The application displays voice messages on the screen and lets users select, delete, reply or forward the message, without having to listen to previous messages or voice prompts.

The Nokia 7205 Intrigue is available on the Verizon network for $129.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
 
Nokia also sells a fuller-featured 5800 XpressMusic phone in the United States - the company's answer to the Apple iPhone - and recently released versions of the XpressMusic internationally as well.
