Here, Nokia welcome participants to the Nokia World 2010 show.

Venue
Nokia World 2010 was held at the ExCel London exhibition center.

Nokia Is Back
Niklas Savander, executive vice president of markets at Nokia, opened the conference proclaiming, "Nokia is back!"

Stepping Out
Nokia World 2010 served as an introduction party for some, as the companys recently named CTO Rich Green marks time as a spokesperson at a major Nokia event. Formerly an executive at Sun Microsystems, Green joined Nokia as CTO in May.

Goodbye
While some like Green were ushered in, others such as Anssi Vanjoki, executive vice president of mobile solutions at Nokia, announced plans to leave the company. During a keynote address, Vanjoki said this will be his last Nokia World, at least from the Nokia side of things.

Stepping Up
Meanwhile, Purnima Kochikar, vice president of Forum Nokia, stepped up her game in announcing enhancements to the Nokia Qt software development kit (SDK), improvements in the Ovi Store, and lowering the barrier to entry and increased monetization opportunities for developers during a keynote address.

Early risers are among the 3,000-strong Nokia users, developers, partners and others milling around the cavernous ExCel facility prior to the start of Nokia World.
