Kyocera Adds MFPs for SMBs or Workgroups
Kyocera Mita rolled out a pair of multifunctional printers Oct. 25 that it claims are tailored to SMBs or work groups within the enterprise that need to collaborate.
The KM-3060 and KM-2560 print and copy 30 and 25 PPM (pages per minute) respectively, at 600x600DPI and scan at 50 PPM or faster depending on color or DPI (dots per inch) and come with all the now-standard MFP (multifunctional printing) features of network printing, and an integrated USB Host Interface, allowing users to print PDFs directly from USB flash drives.
The pair also add more serious document management solutions from Kyoceras Document Box feature that helps workgroup users collaborate through consolidating, sharing, storing documents, images and other digitized information, and retrieving/processing stored documents working from the MFP color touch-screen.

Options include network and Internet faxing, document capture and management features and an optional Data Security Kit that lets companies overwrite and encrypt documents stored on the machines standard 80GB hard drives. The optional fax system supports traditional fax, network faxing from PCs, and Internet faxing, allowing users to receive and send faxes either at the MFP or from any networked PC, eliminating the need to first print documents before they can be faxed.
In addition, the KM-3060 and KM-2560 are fully compatible with Kyoceras optional document solutions, including the KYOcapture Express simplified document capture workflow solution; the iTag document management system for easy document capture, storing, sharing and retrieval; and KYOcapture, Kyoceras document capture workflow solution for enterprises and large workgroups.
The KM-3060 and KM-2560 are available now through authorized Kyocera dealers for $7,733 and $6,733 respectively.
