RemoteFX

RemoteFX enables enhanced graphics and USB direction for end user Remote Desktop connections that run Windows 7 with SP1.

Memory Settings

Using Dynamic Memory requires setting the startup and maximum RAM and memory buffer settings along with the priority (slider bar at the bottom) that should be assigned to the VM.

Inbound Rules

Inbound firewall rules on the host server need to be set to allow RemoteFX connections.

New role services

RemoteFX is enabled as a new Windows 2008 R2 SP1 role service.

Color Depth

With RemoteFX enabled administrators have set deeper maximum color depth for the remote display.

Events

The event viewer shows that RemoteFX sessions are enabled and in use on this system.
