The Lenovo W520 mobile workstation loads on almost twice the compute and memory power as the previous generation, 15.6-inch W510 but is nearly one pound lighter. The W520 now comes with a range of high performance, yet power conserving graphics options and has been certified by a slew of ISV makers including Autodesk for AutoCad and Dassault for Solid Works. The Lenovo W520 easily competes with the Dell M4500 and the HP EliteBook 8540p. For IT workers who most take compute intensive workloads into the field the Lenovo W520 is a good choice. Besides meeting military specs for dust, temperature and other environmental factors, the W520 advances on earlier versions by including the second generation Intel vPro workstation management technology.
