Google Doesn't Go To Congress

Google sent a letter rather than make a personal appearance at today's Congressional Human Rights Caucus.

It seems Google, Yahoo and others support industry guidelines to rely on when operating in nations, like China, where Internet content is subject to government restrictions.

The tone and language of the letter suggests Google's trying to appease regulators, before they decide they need to step in. |
