Microsoft is reiterating that it is delaying the start of its Software Update Services (SUS) 2.0 beta program, according to the folks at the ieXBeta site. SUS is yet another of Microsofts automatic patch-update sites, but one specifically aimed at mid-sized companies. The 2.0 release is supposed to patch a host of Microsoft products, not just Windows (as the current SUS release does), if Microsoft follows through on its promises. The Microsoft SUS team is telling folks that Microsoft will have a plan in place for by the end of January 2004 regarding how it plans to test and roll out SUS 2.0.
