Participants in its Private Cloud Partner Program will be able to offer a portfolio of services, which includes a single monitoring platform.

Breakthrough Technology Group (BTG) launched its Private Cloud Partner Program to help consultants, systems integrators, solutions providers, resellers and agents offer cloud solutions and services to enterprise and mid-market organizations.

Through its Private Cloud portfolio, which starts with a Private Cloud Foundation layer for each customer and optional dedicated software as a service (SaaS)-based managed capabilities, BTG provides a private, secure customized environment.

"We feel that the market, especially the mid-market enterprise, is about to make big moves to the cloud with their line of business apps and are looking for an environment that is scalable, highly available private and secure to meet the requirements of those applications and their business and audit processes," Jeff Kaplan, CEO and founder of BTG, told eWEEK. "We also feel that the biggest agent of change can be the IT consultant who can guide them to the right environment having built up a trusted adviser role."

BTG’s private cloud solutions are delivered from its AT&T SSAE 16 certified data centers.

Participants in its Private Cloud Partner Program will be able to offer a portfolio of services, which includes a single monitoring platform, single Help Desk, single Portal for all services, and a secure, flexible and redundant infrastructure built in multiple AT&T SSAE16 Certified Data Centers.

The company begins each deployment by creating a Virtual Domain, or VDOM for each customer. BTG can deliver managed virtual machines, managed applications, dedicated messaging services and hosted virtual desktops.

"We have developed this program to launch it nationally after a lot of due diligence. We wanted to make it easy for partners to be able to grasp the offer set and understand the value as they are putting their relationships on the line when recommending this," Kaplan said. "To that extent we started with a handful of partners over the last year and that has proved successful. We also looked at many partner programs we have been associated with and determined what we liked and did not and tried to implement that."

Kaplan noted the flexibility of BTG’s platform is key for the partner community as their customers have varying requirements that need to be met, which they can easily do within the offer set.

"As with everything we do, we always look to improve. Future enhancements will be focused on offer and partner support as we expect more and more partners to join as they are looking for a private cloud provider who can support production and DR workloads," Kaplan said. "Right now our managed, dedicated SaaS capabilities span the IT landscape, however there are always point products we can deliver within our customers private cloud.
