ActiveState, which supports dynamic language app development from code to cloud, has announced the release of Komodo IDE 7.1, the latest version of its polyglot programming integrated development environment.
With the tag line as the worlds fiercest IDE, Komodo is an integrated development environment for Python, PHP, Ruby, JavaScript, Perl and Web development. Komodo IDE 7.1 offers performance enhancements to encourage faster Web application development, including automatic variable highlighting, new Source Code Control push capabilities, debugging of cloud-deployed apps within the ActiveState Stackato platform as a service (PaaS) environment, and support for PHP 5.4, Node.js 0.8, Python 3.3, Perl 5.16 and Ruby 1.9.3. Komodo IDE 7.1s language extension feature lets users add their own languages.
ActiveState announced Komodo 7.1 in conjunction with the OReilly Open Source Convention (OSCON) 2012 in Portland, Ore.
