Apple is holding a special event on March 9 when it will likely provide more details about the upcoming Apple Watch smartwatch, which is slated for an April release.

The company sent invitations, which included the simple message, “spring forward,” to media outlets on Feb. 26. Daylight Savings Time begins on March 8, so the “spring forward” tease is a likely allusion to the Apple Watch, which is not directly mentioned in the invitation.

The app took second place in the fourth quarter of 2014 behind social networking app Facebook, whose constant background notification checks still have the greatest impact on overall Android device performance, consistent with the report’s findings from last quarter.

Google has launched an Android for Work program under which it has partnered with several vendors to deliver a range of enterprise mobility-management technologies for organizations looking to securely manage personally-owned Android devices in the workplace.

For mobile devices running the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system and above, Google will offer a work profile feature that will let IT organizations separate and segregate approved work applications from personal apps running on an Android device.

Intel wants to make it easier for consumers to understand the low-power Atom processors that are in their mobile devices. The company is rebranding the processors to give users a clearer idea of the capabilities of the chips, which can be found in smartphones, tablets and low-power notebooks.

The change in branding will come with the next generation of the processors, according to the chip maker. Those could include new 14-nanometer “Cherry Trail” chips and Atom SoFIA SoCs that will include an integrated wireless modem.
