Pleasanton, Calif.-based PeopleSoft Inc. on Tuesday announced the availability of PeopleSoft Healthcare Scorecard, its healthcare-performance-tracking software.
The Healthcare Scorecard is essentially a dashboard that provides users visibility into a multitude of areas within a healthcare organization, including financial, clinical, operational and qualitative performance information.
The scorecard comes with pre-built metrics, such as maintained-bed-occupancy rates. These figures can help managers automate tasks including optimizing hospital capacity and managing costs, officials said.
Additional metrics include the likes of average length of stay, case mix index and census levels. Part of PeopleSofts Enterprise Performance Management suite, the Healthcare Scorecard also provides about 125 healthcare-specific key-performance indicators.
In addition, the EPM suite includes Enterprise Warehouse, Budgeting and Activity-Based Management and Business Planning modules.
