Verifichi announced Jan. 30 that it has released its IT Auditor, a configuration management data warehouse aimed at easing the pain of compliance by centralizing auditing processes across infrastructure systems.
Once installed, IT Auditor enables businesses to identify the configuration data related to its IT infrastructure.
“IT Auditor provides the appropriate reporting level and dashboards for every level of management, from executives, such as CIOs, CCOs and CFOs, to the operational managers, right on through the detailed tracking and interactive queries required by the experts in the data center,” Deborah McCarthy, CFO of Verifichi, based in Somerset, N.J., told eWEEK.
In compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which mandates that publicly traded companies supply independent annual audit reports, Verifichi officials said IT Auditor will enable businesses to approve the monitoring standards while also allowing companies to keep track of what changes were made to the standards.

“The IT Auditor provides proof, verification and validation that your IT infrastructure [is] in compliance with both government and internally mandated regulations and standards,” McCarthy said.
IT Auditor features real-time reporting, which consists of a compliance scorecard, operational report and comprehensive compliance report. It also keeps track of and notifies users of configuration and material changes such as loss of infrastructure components, hard drive failures, disaster recovery site incompatibilities and servers that have been removed from the network.
IT Auditor is available now and is licensed on a per-node basis along with a single manager. The list price for a typical 500 server network would be $160,000, which includes monitoring of all the HW (hardware identification), applications and operating systems.
Once the IT Auditor has been installed, there is little or no ongoing operational cost, and it can be used at operational levels from data center workers through to executive management teams.
