Iconverse.com Inc. last month started shipping a mobile application platform that enables users to work wirelessly even when they are intermittently disconnected.
The Adaptix software gathers data online and caches and stores it for later use offline, said officials at the Waltham, Mass., company. Adaptix supports syncing, online message queueing, network detection and an IP-based alert service.
The initial version of Adaptix will run on Microsoft Corp.s Pocket PC devices and Windows-based laptop computers. A version for Palm OS is due this quarter.
Pricing varies with the number of user licenses.
