iWay Software, which makes prebuilt integration products, this month rolled out more than 140 adapters for Microsoft Corp.s BizTalk Server 2000.

The new products, which extend Microsofts already large library of BizTalk adapters, will allow customers to deploy BizTalk in conjunction with applications from such companies as Siebel Systems Inc., Oracle Corp., PeopleSoft Inc., SAP AG and a host of other disparate enterprise and legacy systems.

Microsoft worked with iWay in developing the adapters.

Based on XML and Simple Object Access Protocol, the idea behind Microsofts BizTalk Server 2000 is to unite enterprise application integration, business-to-business integration and business process automation technology, with the result that companies can use XML Web services.

iWay, based in New York, comes into the fray by taking advantage of Microsofts Web services implementation to provide code-free access to applications and data on more than 35 platforms.

The adapters are available now.
