Oracle Corp. and Mercury Interactive Corp., an enterprise software testing and application performance management vendor, announced today the availability of a starter kit that should help companies improve initial deployments and upgrades of Oracles E-Business Suite.
The Test Starter Kit is based on Mercurys Interactive Technology that consists of reusable test plans and scripts developed by Oracles E-Business engineering organization.
Beginning with release 11.5.7 Rapid Install, Oracle will distribute the starter kit to every E-Business customer, according to officials. The company, based in Redwood Shores, Calif., will also market Mercurys testing software to its customers, channels and systems integration partners.
Mercury, for its part, is also announcing immediate availability of its performance testing, functional and regressing testing and test management software.
Cliff Godwin, senior vice president of application technology at Oracle, said Mercurys testing software helps customers asses application readiness, improve performance, accelerate deployment and insure the success of applications that directly impact their business.
