New offerings for web content management are available from Mercury Interactive Corp. and F5 Networks Inc.

Mercurys products, part of the companys Astra line, are QuickTest 5.0, LoadTest 5.0 and FastTrack. Officials of the Sunnyvale, Calif., company said the QuickTest and LoadTest software tests Web-based applications for scalability and functionality under stress, particularly where multimedia, Java and ActiveX controls are in use. FastTrack helps manage bugs and other software defects.

QuickTest, available now, costs $3,995 per seat. LoadTest, due in late March, starts at $9,995 per seat. FastTrack, due next month, begins at $595 per seat.

F5s products include e-Commerce Controller and support for installing multiple SSL Accelerator cards in one server.

e-Commerce Controller, available now from the Seattle company, costs $9,990 and $17,990, depending on throughput level. The accelerator cards cost $2,490 and $7,500.
