Business performance management software developer Geac Computer Corp. Ltd. announced Thursday a set of programs, called Value for Maintenance, designed to help customers better integrate Geac and non-Geac software and simplify the Web enablement of the companys applications.

The programs will be rolled out to Geac E and M Series customers this month. The Markham, Ontario, company is working to extend the value of existing mainframe software customers investments as it looks to enhance its own overall service and support offerings.

“We realize that maintenance renewals remain critically important to our success,” Isobel Harris, senior vice president of Geac Americas Professional Services Organization, said in a statement. “Our customers want to broaden the reach of their Geac back-office systems—and with our Value to Maintenance program were enabling that.”

Under the program, customers have the option of extending their systems with Geacs Active Client, Employee Self Service and Connector Foundation modules—as part of a multiyear services contract.

Active Client streamlines interaction with other E and M Series products, while Connector Foundation is a connector to E and M Series data from outside applications.

Employee Self Service lets employees use the Web to view and update payroll and other personnel information.
