HANNOVER, Germany—AT&T Corp. took the opportunity of its presence at the worlds largest trade fair this week to herald its beefed up managed Internet services for enterprise users, particularly those with multinational reach.

AT&Ts latest Global Managed Internet Service will boast higher speeds, usage-based billing, Web-based reporting and the option for users to install and manage their own routers. The self-managing router option is targeted particularly at enterprises that want to operate their own virtual private networks over the Internet.

Web-based reporting lets companies view graphical data of their usage patterns. For those with cyclical traffic needs, the new reporting capability together with a usage-based billing option gives added traffic management flexibility.

With the managed service, corporate users receive dedicated Internet connections. In Europe and Asia, connections are available at E3/34 Mbps or T3/45 Mbps.

AT&T touts its global network as one of the most expansive, with more than 800 PoPs in 60 countries. The latest additions to the managed services aim to provide a consistent service throughout the world.
