Keeping Mozilla Suite Alive

The SeaMonkey project is an effort to keep a timely and useful version of the original Mozilla browser suite alive, providing an option for those who want a browser, mail, chat and Web development package all in one.
Time Warp

The browser interface of SeaMonkey 2.0 can seem like a bit of a time warp—back to 2004—but underneath that old Mozilla exterior are many of the modern browser features that users have access to in Firefox 3.5.
Add-on Capabilities

With Version 2.0, SeaMonkey now has the same add-on capabilities and management options as Firefox, making it easier for users to add functionality to the SeaMonkey browser.
Closed Tabs and Windows

As with Firefox, SeaMonkey 2.0 lets users easily find and restore closed tabs and windows. However, instead of being in a History menu, as they are in Firefox, the closed tabs and windows are located in the File menu.
Tabbed Windows in Mail and Newsreader

A very welcome new feature in the SeaMonkey mail and newsreader client is tabbed windows, which make it much easier to open and sort through multiple messages.
Download Manager

SeaMonkey 2.0 also benefits from the newer Firefox download manager, making it easier to manage and locate downloaded files.
