Speedera Networks Inc. and Macromedia Inc. announced a partnership Tuesday that enables Macromedia Flash video to be delivered across Speederas distributed content delivery services.

The Macromedia Flash Video Streaming Service, powered by Santa Clara, Calif.-based Speedera, enables companies to take advantage of an outsourced solution to deliver streaming Flash video to users on the Web across Speederas distributed on-demand network.

The service is based on Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX and is available as part of Speederas SpeedSuite line of services.

The service delivers features such as instant-on, customizable player capabilities, Web site integration, and the ability to add interactivity and context, company officials said.

Indeed, officials of both companies said the new Flash streaming deal is not the first partnership between the two companies. Officials at San Francisco-based Macromedia said the company has an existing agreement with Speedera to deliver a download of Macromedias Flash Player to users and to track performance and availability.
