RedDot, a provider of enterprise content-management solutions, has released RedDot CMS 6.1, the latest version of its Web Content Management System. With this release comes an expedited content-contribution process and comparison templates for improved version control.

Darren Guarnaccia, director of technology for New York-based RedDot Solutions Corp., said the development cycle for this release was about five months and the updated features were focused in two areas: usability and managing workflow.

“First, in usability, we added the SmartDrop and DirectEdit features to simplify the authoring environment and speed the contribution process. The other piece we added is the ability to render a site with a PDF variant… which allows a site to be formatted as a PDF file in addition to other formats,” Guarnaccia said.
