Sybase Inc. Thursday released a version of its Adaptive Server Enterprise relational database management system that works in conjunction with PeopleSoft CRM 8.8.

The release, ASE 12.5, adds customer relationship management support to the list of other PeopleSoft Inc. applications supported by Sybase, of Dublin, Calif., including Human Capital Management, Supply Chain Management and Financial Management Solutions.

ASE 12.5 is the fruit of a partnership that the two companies announced in August. At the time, PeopleSoft committed to becoming Sybases preferred vendor of ERP (enterprise resource planning) and CRM (customer relationship management) applications. PeopleSoft also agreed to provide all of its applications on Sybases database platform at the same time as any competitors.

Available now, ASE 12.5 for PeopleSoft CRM 8.8, Enterprise edition, starts at $3,995 per server, plus $795 per networked seat. For workplace solutions, ASE starts at $995 per server and $195 per networked seat.
