ATLANTA—Motorola Inc. on Monday will introduce at the CTIA Wireless conference here its first megapixel camera phone. In addition to the still camera, the V710 includes video capture and playback as well as speech recognition software and Bluetooth support, officials said.
The V710 comes with 16MB of on-board memory, but it also supports SanDisk Corp.s tiny TransFlash memory module, which can hold up to 128MB of data. The phone is due in the middle of 2004.
Motorola also on Monday is introducing the A40 World Phone, which supports both CDMA and GSM/GPRS networks. It includes a camera, but not Bluetooth because the company needed room for the two wide-area network radios.
At the same time, the Schaumburg, Ill., company is introducing the A845, which supports UMTS. Both phones are due in the second half of year.
