Stratosphere
Verizon will begin selling the Samsung Stratosphere Galaxy 4G Long-Term Evolution (LTE) smartphone Oct. 13 for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and two-year data contract. The Stratosphere is Samsung’s first 4G LTE handset with a QWERTY keyboard. It’s a business-geared phone, including several enterprise security and management features including Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, Cisco VPN, Sybase Afaria mobile device management and encryption.
Rear
The Stratosphere also comes with modest 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, paired with a 1.3MP front camera to enable video chat.
T-Mobile SpringBoard
The T-Mobile SpringBoard possesses a 7-inch HD multi-touch display. It also has a 1.2 GHz dual-core mobile processor, as well as a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and video recorder with 720p for HD video capture, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. Blockbuster on Demand, Netflix and T-Mobile TV come preloaded.
T-Mobile Tab 10.1
This is T-Mobile’s Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is basically the same tablet thats already offered Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. It has a 10.1-inch display and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor.
Motorola Atrix 2
A follow-up to its February 2011 Atrix 4G, the Atrix 2 boasts a 4.3-inch qHD display and 1 GHz dual core processor, running on 4G speeds. The handset, which costs $99 with a service contract, also captures video in 1080p HD and displays content on any size HD monitor or television using the Motorola HD Station or Lapdock 100 with HDMI cable. It’s available Oct. 16.
Samsung Captivate Glide
Following the Stratosphere Slider this 4G Gingerbread smartphone on AT&T has a slide QWERTY keyboard and 4-inch Super AMOLED screen powered by a 1 GHZ dual-core processor. There is also an 8MP camera with HD (1080p) video recording and a front-facing camera for video chat. Samsung hasnt released pricing or availability details.
Samsung DoubleTime
Running on the now seemingly ancient Android 2.2 “Froyo” build, the DoubleTime boasts a white and pink color scheme and features a 3.2 mega-pixel digital camera with a camcorder, voice recognition, a dedicated function key for shortcuts, drag-and-drop widgets, five scrolling home screens and an expandable menu with scrolling panels. Samsun hasnt announced pricing or availability yet.
Pantech Pocket
There are pocket protectors, pocket squares and then there are pocket phones, like this Android Gingerbread gadget from Pantech. The 4G-enabled Pantech Pocket possesses a 4-inch SVGA touch screen display, wide virtual keyboard and a 5MP camera. Pantech hasnt released pricing or availability for this device.
AT&T Avail
The Avail is an Android Gingerbread-based, prepaid GoPhone from AT&T sporting a 3.5-inch touch screen and a 5MP camera.
Samsung Transfix
Even Cricket got in on the action with the Samsung Transfix, an Android Gingerbread phone that costs $179.99 with a service contract. The Transfix has an 800MHz processor with a 3.2-inch touch screen. The smartphone also features a 3.2-megapixel camera with camcorder and microSD slot with up to 32-gigabyte expandable memory.
Cricket Slider
The Cricket also sports a full, sliding QWERTY keyboard. It’s a lot like the Stratosphere, which kicked off this slideshow!
