People are sure to take notice if you show your PowerPoint slides on IBMs M400 Projector.

The $1,849 M400, which was released last month, is the first exclusive IBM projector design in years. Weighing in at a mere 2.4 pounds, this microportable DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector has a 4.25-inch-by-5.5-inch footprint. The M400 has a native XGA resolution of 1,024 by 768 pixels and, at 1,100 lumens, is impressively bright for its size. IBM estimates a lamp life of about 2,000 hours. The projector has input capabilities for computer, video (DVD, VCR, S-Video and HDTV) and audio.

In my tests, the projector displayed PC screen images and video sharply and brightly. The only difficulty I encountered was that projected images skewed a bit when I adjusted the height of the projector (buttons on either side of the M400 adjust the height of the legs).

The projectors remote control unit includes an integrated laser pointer.
