More mobility A dream of notebook users is to make them as mobile as personal digital assistants. Fujitsu PC Corp. took a step in that direction by making its LifeBook P Series available with integrated WLAN capabilities.

Staying connected The LifeBook P Series is the smallest notebook on the market, according to the Santa Clara, Calif., company, a subsidiary of Fujitsu Ltd. Weighing only 3.4 pounds, the notebook, with its 802.11b capabilities, enables employees to stay connected to networks even when they are out of the office or away from home. Along with the wireless LAN connectivity, the notebook includes a built-in modem and integrated 10/100BaseTx Ethernet. It also has an IEEE 1394 port for fast digital video and data transfer.

Pricing The notebook is available now, starting at $1,499.
