The SCX-4100 can print and copy in black and white at 15 pages per minute with 600-dpi (dot-per-inch) resolution. It can scan in color at 4,800 dpi. The machine includes parallel and USB 2.0 interfaces, with Ethernet connectivity available for additional cost. The unit has 8MB of memory and can hold 250 sheets.

In addition, the SCX-4100 includes a feature for copying double-sided ID cards onto one page, said Jay Allan Shears, director of office automation with Samsungs Information Technology Division. “This is great for a dentists or doctors office where they need to make copies of patient ID cards,” said Shears.
Shears added that the units size—16.6 by 15.8 by 9.4 inches—makes it a good fit for small spaces. Cost per page is less than two cents, according to Samsung.
The SCX-4100 is available July 16.
