Pogo Linux wants to make it easier for Linux application makers to sell their products.

The company is launching a program, called Your Logo Here, in which it will sell servers to these software makers that, in turn, can load their software onto the systems and sell the bundles.

For customers, this will ensure that the software they buy is loaded onto hardware that is compatible and that there is no user error in deploying the applications. For software makers, the custom-branded program offers another option for selling their products.

Pogo Linux will brand the hardware with the ISVs logo and color, include manuals and restore CDs, put the bundle in customized boxes, and offer warranties.

The company has been doing this on an ad hoc basis for a couple of years, but it is now formalizing the program, said company President Tim Lee last week at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo in Boston.
