Former new and legacy application integration software maker Eco Novo Holdings Ltd. has morphed into a new company.

Announced Monday, Pantero Corporation, newly headquartered in Waltham, Mass., will focus on solving data semantic integration issues that will provide applications with unimpeded access to data anywhere in the enterprise, officials said.

The new software, due later this year, is said to unify data, applications and systems under a consistent set of rules, providing data quality across an enterprise.

The end result of consistent data is companies can execute business processes more effectively because they are driven by up-to-date data accessed from a variety of systems.

Panteros core data semantic integration technology has been under development for several years at Eco Novo. Pano Anthos, Panteros CEO, acquired the technology earlier this year and announced today $4 million in venture funding to kick-start the new company.

The company expects to ship its first product in early 2004.
