New and existing AT&T customers can now get an LG G Pad 7.0 LTE for 99 cents or a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 for $99.99 with the purchase and activation of a qualifying smartphone, under two new promotions unveiled by the company to eWEEK on Oct. 1.

The new promotions will start on Oct. 3 and must include two-year wireless contracts on the tablets and on the smartphones.

The 99-cent LG G Pad 7.0 LTE offer applies to the purchase of any new Android, Apple iOS, Windows or BlackBerry smartphone at $0 down through the AT&T Next program, according to AT&T. The offer will only be available for a limited time, though an expiration date was not announced. A $40 activation and upgrade fee applies for the tablet, which is priced at $249.99 without a contract.

The smartphone activation must also include qualifying data and voice packages, according to the company. Customers can add the new tablet to any existing Mobile Share Value data plan for $10 a month.

The $99.99 Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 can be purchased under the special offer with the purchase of any new Samsung Galaxy smartphone through the AT&T Next program through Jan. 8, 2015, or until supplies last, according to the company. The deal also requires the purchase of a qualifying minimum monthly service plan including voice and data. A $40 activation and upgrade fee applies for the tablet, which is priced at $369.99 without a contract. The tablet can be added to any Mobile Share Value data plan for $10 a month.

In a related move, AT&T is extending two previous special promotions through Oct. 31, one that offers customers $200 off of any iPad with the purchase and activation of a new iPhone through AT&T Next, and the other a $100 bill credit to customers who buy a new smartphone via AT&T Next and add it as a new line to an account, the company said.

The offers come on the heels of AT&T’s recently announced double data offers for customers who buy 15GB to 50GB shared data packages. The double data offer provides participating customers with 30GB to 100GB of shared data at the same prices as the 15GB to 50GB plans, as long as they continue their AT&T accounts.
