To survive, enterprises must develop and deploy applications rapidly. A key to survival is reusing of software components.

To help with reuse, Cleveland-based Flashline. com Inc. this week is releasing the latest version of its CMEE (Component Manager Enterprise Edition), Version 3.0.

The product enables and measures an enterprises reuse program, all aimed at reducing IT expenses. CMEE supports and manages all types of corporate software assets, including Web services such as Microsoft Corp.s .Net or Sun Microsystems Inc.s Sun ONE; components, including Java, Component Object Model and Common Object Request Broker Architecture; and frameworks.

CMEE 3.0 will be available next month. Pricing starts at $37,500 per server and $250 per user.
