Datacenter automation software provider SBB Group will launch a new company in the United States next week geared toward the job scheduling software market.

Because the scheduling software industry is growing, SBB will open three U.S. offices—in New York, Denver and the West Coast—and will market the software under the company name UC4 Software Inc.

Headquartered in Wolfsgraben, Austria, SBB previously released its UC4 job scheduling software through Software Engineering of America, in New York.

At the same time, SEA and SBB will merge North American support and marketing activities for the UC4 product.

The UC4 is a platform independent software tool that enables job scheduling, process management and event automation across heterogeneous IT systems and applications, officials said.

The platform supports all commonly used operating systems in addition to ERP [enterprise resource planning] applications the likes of SAPs Business Warehouse and Oracle Corp.s and PeopleSoft Inc.s applications.

UC4 can also be integrated into network management frameworks, including Hewlett-Packard OpenView, BMC Patrol and IBM Tivoli Enterprise Console.

This story was changed after its initial posting to correct the location of SBBs headquarters.
