Managed availability platform provider Vision Solutions will announce new platform next week at IBM Partner World in New Orleans.
Orion is Vision Solutions multi-platform solution geared towards the companys concept of a total solutions rollout consisting of technology, professional services, support and certified partners. Orion, which will become available in mid-2003, enables users to predictably manage the functional availability of servers, data and applications across an enterprise – regardless of platform – supporting OS/400, Windows and Linux, officials said.
Functionality includes data integration across disparate databases, along with managed application and server avail-ability within both homogeneous and heterogeneous environments. Orion will expand on the traditional iSeries channel as it extends into multi-platform support, officials said.
Headquartered in Irvine, Calif., Vision Solutions provides software for assuring the availability of applications and data.
