Crystal Decisions Inc. will announce this week its next-generation Crystal Enterprise reporting and analysis system. The new system helps companies organize, categorize and deliver reports, analytical data and strategic business information into any Web or enterprise application.

The suite includes Crystal Reports Professional, a high-performance reporting tool, and Crystal Analysis Professional, a new product for flexible analytic reporting from multidimensional data stores, said officials with the Palo Alto, Calif., company.

Other features support reporting and analysis from any online analytical processing or relational data source; scheduling, caching and on-demand delivery modes; and integrated reporting into enterprise, intranet, extranet and corporate portal applications. Others include information delivery to Web devices in Web standard formats such as XML (Extensible Markup Language), dynamic HTML and PDF; and report subscription and alerting, plus data exchange with other Web applications via XML.

Crystal Enterprise is available now. Licensing is based on the number of users and processors.
