Everybody’s going mobile — even data center-focused TIBCO.

The longtime IT infrastructure and business intelligence software maker on June 17 released Jaspersoft 6.1, which enables developers to embed dashboards for analytics. This new version has some elements that mobile app developers will want to check out.

The updated package addresses some common challenges developers encounter when embedding BI inside mobile and SaaS applications with an upgraded iOS and Android application. Improvements to the built-in multi-tenant service help reduce the complexity and customizations commonly required for embedding BI into SaaS applications.

Jaspersoft 6.1 features additional improvements to the embeddable TIBCO BI platform, including an enhanced designer for interactive dashboards along with upgraded integration of TIBCO Spotfire’s GeoAnalytics capabilities for advanced mapping inside Jaspersoft reports, according to the company.

Additional new features include improved dashboard capabilities that lead to faster insights for users, and improved multi-tenant support for simplifying the complexity and administration of SaaS and cloud-based applications.
