Samsung Galaxy Note

1

The Samsung Galaxy Note is something of a hybrid: with its 5.3-inch screen, it works as a small tablet—but the device’s 4G LTE connection (via AT&T) also makes it a smartphone. A stylus (which Samsung dubs the “S Pen” for “advanced smart pen”) reinforces the whole “notepad” concept.

Note Hardware

2

The Samsung Galaxy Note comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 16GB onboard memory and a microSD slot (which expands its capacity to 32GB), along with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera (and a 2-megapixel front aperture).

The Samsung Galaxy Note runs Google Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with the company’s proprietary TouchWiz aesthetic.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus

5

Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus features a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED screen, 5-megapixel rear camera, and 1.3-megapixel front camera. Its hardware is more contoured than your average smartphone, theoretically making it easier to grip.

Ice Cream Sandwich

6

The Galaxy Nexus runs Google Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), the latest version of the operating system.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE

7

Samsung will launch a version of the Galaxy Tab that supports Verizon’s 4G LTE network. It will feature a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and a Super AMOLED Plus screen.

Honeycomb

8

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE will run Google Android 3.2 (Honeycomb).

Series 5 Chromebook

9

Samsung’s Series 5 Chromebook features a 12.1-inch screen and weighs a relatively light 3.02 pounds. It relies on Google’s Chrome OS for an operating system, making it entirely cloud-dependent.

Series 9 Notebook

10

Samsung is also leaping into the ultrabook fray with the Series 9 Notebook, an aluminum-bodied laptop that measures 0.6 inches thin. At 15 inches, it also boasts a slightly larger screen than some ultrabooks from rival manufacturers.

Speed

11

With ultrabooks, the emphasis is on speed and power in addition to portability. The Samsung Series 9 Notebook features a 128GB solid-state drive (SSD) and a second-generation Intel Core i5 processor.
