At long last, Transmeta Corp. has taken the wraps off of the TM8000, the companys next big chance to move back into mainstream computing.

Transmeta launched the TM8000 or “Efficeon” processor at the Microprocessor Forum today in San Jose, after hinting, tipping off, and disclosing various details about the chip during the last few months.
