Hewlett-Packard in June unveiled its first commercial notebook armed with Advanced Micro Devices Turion 64 processor.

HP is aiming the Compaq nx6125 notebook at small and midsize businesses, officials said. The notebook will offer Turion chips ranging in speed from 1.6GHz to 2.2GHz.

The thin and light nx6125, which weighs 2.4 pounds, is the first commercial mobile PC from HP with AMDs Turion 64 technology. It also comes with added security through an integrated HP Biometric Fingerprint Sensor, part of the companys ProtectTools portfolio of security offerings.

In addition, HP is offering as an option an Integrated Smart Card reader and provides further security through its Credential Manager, which has single-sign-on password technology.
