ComScore just issued global search share numbers for July. Google leads with 67.5 percent of the search market and 76.7 billion queries.

But here is the best stat: The global search market was up 41 percent from a year ago. Wow! I fleshed out the details on eWEEK here, and here is the ComScore release. But check out these charts for the quick and dirty summary:

Note how Facebook snuck in there. Would you think Facebook would be one of the top queried places? I know it has more than 250 million users, but sheesh. The nearly 1 billion searches are way more than I would expect.

Here is the ComScore search-share report by region, with Europe leading the way at almost one-third of the total global queries:

Bing hardly rates here, but I can’t wait to see Bing’s global search share six months or even one year from now. Bing will gain some percentage points into 2010. How many is uncertain, but the Bing machine is revving up.

Check out this Times profile on Bing leader Qi Lu.
