Google released a few new features to Gmail overnight. If you’re a Gmail user, please refer to this post as “Captain Obvious States the McObvious.”

If you’re not a Gmail user or you don’t ever check your e-mail (sloth is a deadly sin, detective Mills), then here’s a list of said features:

Drop Shadows — so your e-mails just pop outta the background, baby, in that faux 3D way you know and love.
— Show Details replaced with Drop Down Menu — drop-down list has reply to all, forward, print, report phishing, show original, etc.
Details menu revamped — little bit easier to read, and not separated from the body of the email as much.
New icons for reply, reply to all, and forward
New messages alert — when you’re reading an e-mail sent to multiple people, such as a listserv, and a new message arrives, Gmail notifies you.

I like it. Is very nice.
